Veronica Segovia Torres

Verónica Segovia Torres was born in Barcelona and received her dance training at the Institut del Teatre there, in Madrid, and under the guidance of Maria de Avila and Arantxa Argüelles.

From 2000 to 2006, she danced with companies such as Ballet de Zaragoza, Lanònima Imperial, the New York Contemporary Company Ballet, the English National Ballet, and the Spanish company Ballet Gambini. From 2006 to 2007, she was a member of Ballet Madrid, and from 2009 to 2014, she danced with ballettmainz.

During her time there, she performed in works by Pascal Touzeau, Mats Ek, Jiří Kylián, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Patrick de Bana, Davide Bombana, Giovanni Garda, Robert North, Didy Veldman, Georg Reischl, Jacopo Godani, and Davy Brun.

Her own choreographic works have been presented at the Staatstheater Mainz, the Mainz Ballet Week, and the Institut Français in Mainz.

After guesting with the ballet company of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz during the 2014/2015 season, she became a full company member at the start of the 2015/2016 season.

Since the 2019/2020 season, she has been a member of Staatsballett Hannover.
